Women@SIMI 2018 will take place in The Shelbourne Dublin, 27 St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2
Women@SIMI is a business lunch that celebrates the role of women within the Irish Motor Industry, it is a very relaxed atmosphere where our members have the opportunity to network and learn from each other as well as hearing from other successful people of different backgrounds and industries.
This will be our fifth annual Women@SIMI event which will take place on Friday the 14th September 2018, Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin 2. A special thanks must go to our sponsor Bank of Ireland Finance who have supported us since our first inauguration and we are very thankful for their support year on year.

One of RTE’s most popular broadcasters Mary Kennedy currently co-presents the new features programme, Nationwide. She came to national prominence presenting the Eurovision Song Contest in 1995 and since then has presented many programmes including People of the Year, Up for the Match, and RTE’s Christmas Carols and regularly appeared as a guest on show such as The Late Late Show.

Currently at RTÉ, where Michelle Spillane holds the position of Director of RTÉ Global & TV Marketing, she has worked in Marketing, Media and Entertainment for over 20 years.
She worked at some of the largest entertainment brands in the world including Disney, Warner Bros and ITV, where she held the position of Marketing Director. Prior to joining RTÉ, Spillane has been Chief Marketing Officer for Microsoft Ireland, and Head of Marketing, Brand & Sponsorship at Bank of Ireland.

Paula Fitzsimons is the founder of Fitzsimons Consulting, which specialises in areas related to entrepreneurship and growth.
Recognising that fewer women entrepreneurs have significant growth ambitions than do men, Paula Fitzsimons designed and developed Going for Growth, which is focused on peer support as a means of assisting women entrepreneurs who wish to grow their businesses. www.goingforgrowth.com With the 9th cycle now underway, Going for Growth has supported over 500 women entrepreneurs and measures its success in terms of the participants’ increased turnover, additional employment created and the number of new exporters.
Paula was awarded the WMB Empowering Women Award in 2014.
Paula is a judge on a voluntary capacity in several national entrepreneurship awards and has been an expert on entrepreneurship for the OECD LEED and EU Commission for a number of years.
Anna May McHugh
Managing Director National Ploughing Association
Anna May McHugh journey through the ploughing started in 1951 when she took a job as assistant to the founder of the National Ploughing Association, she was appointed Secretary in 1956 when the NPA became a limited company and elected Managing Director in 1973.
Anna May has been at the helm of the Ploughing Championships as it has evolved from a small ploughing match and agricultural trade exhibition to what is now widely recognised as the biggest outdoor event in Europe with 283,000 patrons in 2016 and over 1,700 trade exhibitors and 350 ploughing competitors.
Anna May is a Board Member of the World Ploughing Organisation and a Director of KFM Radio, she served on the board of Teagasc for 5 years, Laois Enterprise Board for 15 years and she is actively involved in a number of community organisations.
